What do you love most about Grace Christian School?

Grace Christian School puts the needs and interests of the students first. The staff and parents have a strong partnership rooted in loving students and promoting their growth and maturity.

Why do you like teaching at Grace Christian School?

Grace Christian School has become a second home to me. A warm sense of community is evident among the caring staff, the supportive parents, and the enthusiastic students.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?

Growing up, I always learned the most from teachers who made their subject matter "come to life". I strive to design every lesson plan in a way that reaches all types of learners and helps them to make connections between the lesson and their real world experiences.

How does “Faith and Learning Connect” in your role at Grace Christian School?

With God being the creator of all things, I believe that every single lesson can contain a biblical integration. Students are challenged daily to view what is being taught through the lens of a biblical worldview. This can be accomplished by applying Scripture to our topic, having students answer critical thinking questions, or moderating classroom discussions and debates.

What sets Grace Christian School students apart from other students?

I have always been struck by how enthusiastic the students at Grace Christian School are about learning. I am inundated daily by student questions such as, "What are we going to learn today?" or "Can we act out skits again soon?" As a teacher, what a pleasure it is to see students excited to come to class and actively participate!
